Volunteers, spectators, and players will all play a role in keeping everyone safe. In order for practices and games to be enjoyable and safe, those who attend will need to adhere to the policies below:
The purpose of these protocols is to minimize disease spread as best as possible. Our overarching goal is to reach a reasonable resocialization of soccer practice and competition, with priority attention paid to the health and safety of our athletes and volunteers.
COACH RESPONSIBILITIES *Follow all state and local health protocols. *Coach is the only person to handle cones, disks, equipment, etc. *Upon entering the soccer complex, please wear a mask that covers nose and mouth. *Have fun, stay positive – players and parents are looking to you to stay calm, supportive, and caring during this time. *Coaches will self screen before attending practices and games
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES *Bring hand sanitizer, to be used before handling water bottle and upon departure of the field *Players should attempt to maintain a distance greater than or equal to 6 feet from others during moments of arrival, departure, breaks, and in-training/in-game stoppages *Players are recommended to wear a face mask before and after all practices and games *Do not touch or share anyone else’s equipment, water, or bag. *Place bags and equipment at least 6 feet apart. *Wash and sanitize all equipment before and after every training. *No group celebrations, no high fives, hugs, handshakes, etc. *Do not bring snacks to practice.
PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES *Ensure your child is healthy; check your child’s temperature prior to practice/games . Refer to State of Texas guidelines: HERE If they show any sign of illness do NOT come to practice or games and notify your coach. *If you or someone in your family has not been feeling well please stay at home. Please wear a face mask. Avoid carpooling as much as possible. *Stay in the car or adhere to social distance requirements. *Ensure all equipment, cleats, ball, shin guards, etc. are sanitized before and after every training. *Do not assist the coach with equipment before, during, or after training. Be sure your child has necessary sanitizer with them at every training and games.
GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Restrooms will be open during all practices and games. Water fountains will be turned off. 2. Players will provide their own balls, equipment, water, hand sanitizer, etc. 3. No game snacks will be allowed. 4. We recommend limiting the number of spectators per player family to limit contact points. a. It is highly recommended that one (1) spectator per family attend the game. b. If more family members must attend, a family unit should be composed only of people who reside in the same household. c.These family units should sit together and socially distance from other family units before, during, and after the event. 5. Spectators should remain off the field, practice proper social distancing, and utilize masks or face coverings, throughout the event, following local and state guidelines. Any spectator not following the posted or published facility guidelines or local mandates could be removed from the facility.
